With over 30 years of experience, Julie has developed extensive expertise in supporting older adults across clinical, aged care, and community settings. She is a strong advocate for the role of nutrition in promoting health, independence, and wellbeing throughout later life.
Julie Orr is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and member of Dietitians Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Food and Nutrition Sciences and a Graduate Diploma of Nutrition and Dietetics from Deakin University.
Julie provides nutrition support for adult clients with a wide range of medical and lifestyle needs. She has a particular interest in aged care nutrition, including neurological conditions, and works with both NDIS and community clients. Her approach is centred on food-first principles, offering practical and sustainable strategies that align with each client’s abilities, preferences, and nutritional goals.
In addition to working with individuals, Julie's extensive experience also spans supporting healthcare facilities improve nutrition systems and food provisions at a organisational level.
Outside of her professional role, Julie enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring local bike paths, and sharing her love of simple, wholesome food — both in the kitchen and when dining out.
